How much are garage doors?
Garage doors come in various sizes, styles and colours as well as several different working mechanisms. There are various choices when it comes to a new garage door and these include up and over garage doors, sectional garage doors, canopy garage doors, side hinged garage doors and roller shutters. Prices start at £500 including fitting and can increase to over £4,000 for a bespoke garage door.

What is the standard size garage door?
There are very few garages that are a standard size. The two most common sizes are 7ft x 6ft 6” and 7ft x 7ft.

Can any type of garage door be fitted to my garage?
Not all garage doors operate in the same way and require different dimensions such as headroom and clearance. This is important when considering roller shutters and sectional garage doors. When considering side hinged doors a sloping driveway would be problematic. We perform a full site survey to ensure you get the right door for your needs.

What happens to my existing garage door?
We remove and dispose of your old garage door as part of the cost of your new garage door. We are fully licensed waste carriers.

Can my garage door be electrically operated?
Whether it’s a new or an existing garage door most are designed to accommodate an electric operator. Even most side hinged garage doors can be automated. Doors fitted with canopy style lifting gear are not advisable to be automated.

Does my new garage door have a warranty?
All garage doors and operators supplied by ourselves come with an extensive manufacturers guarantee and comply with all current safety standards.

Can my garage door be repaired?
We stock an extensive range of replacement parts from various manufacturers as well as many obsolete models. There are many reasons and causes as to why your garage door is not opening and may require new cones and cables, springs, tracks, spindle rollers, lifting arms or a simple service. We service all garage doors as part of your repair.

Why is my roller shutter not operating?
There are various reasons why your roller shutter is not closing or opening. The most common problems can be caused by an obstruction or a safety mechanism fault. It could even be as simple as a new battery is required in your remote control handset. For your peace of mind and safety all of our roller shutters conform with the current safety standards. It is against the Law to install a power operated garage door in the UK without complying with The Machinery Directive.

I’ve lost or broken my handset for my garage door opener, can I get a replacement?
We can supply replacement handsets for most modern operators and various discontinued models. Where a replacement is no longer available we can install an external receiver and supply the compatible handsets.

I’ve lost the keys to my garage door, can you help?
Whether you have lost your garage door keys or are experiencing a broken lock, we can supply and fit new locks to your garage door. We can also supply and install additional security systems to your garage door for your peace of mind.
